As I mentioned, our Christmas was chock full of lots of family - seventeen people in all sharing a pretty small space at the family Farm. That's the funny thing about families - they just keep growing! Caroline did a lot better with this crowd than I thought she was going to, so I'm very proud of her. She has recently gotten over some of her shyness and it's lots of fun. Of course, there's lots of sharing of everything when you spend that much time around that many people. I'm, of course, talking about germs. Caroline is officially sick.

We survived Christmas. Of course, I mean this both figuratively and literally as we all know that the holidays are fraught with potential dangers for food allergic kids. There's just something about the holidays that notches up the fear factor. It must be because the holidays all seem to be centered on food. If you're heading to Walt Disney World and you have small children in your travel party, you have probably heard about the fabulous Bippity Boppity Boutique which turns any little girl into a princess. Two drawbacks to this experience are: (a)the price and (b)the fact that your princess has to be three years old to participate. The good news on both those counts is that there is a fabulous, and often overlooked, alternative in the Main Street Barbershop located (appropriately enough) on Main Street, USA at the Magic Kingdom. If you're lucky you might even get to enjoy the Dapper Dans, Disney's barbershop quartet, while you get your haircut.

Our next installment of pictures from our trip to Disney World is a magical morning at the Magic Kingdom. We started out early - getting to the gates before park opening and heading straight back through the castle to Fantasyland - that happy haunt of all pre-schoolers.
